Weekend Plans.

Yeah! Its a long weekend! I love 4 days work week. This weekend will be pretty busy for me, have a few dates lined up already so that mean pics to blog!

Let's see ...

Fri - Friend's baby's 1st mth celebration in the afternoon, then maybe a little shopping and in the evening its Beer Fest Asia here I come!

Sat - Lunch with TJ + Hubby, LC + GX, Huiy and I ... and maybe Evon. She has yet to confirm. I'm assuming this is going to be a full day thing .. haha, or not. Well, I have left the day open.

Sun - Its sleep in day for me!! Sun always go by very fast ... prob because I wake up at around 2pm :P

I found my ring!!

I went home last nite and it was on my bed ... near my pillow. This is the first time that it has fallen out while I was sleeping. Weird ....

Happy I found it .... going to check on it everyday now :P

I've lost my ring :(

I have just noticed that I've lost the ring I have been wearing 24/7 for the past 5-6 years :( Really upset now .... its just a simple silver ring that I bought @ the Meridian Mall in East Lansing, MI but it has been with me everyday for the past few years ....

It started out as a 4 ring loop ring but one broke and so it became 3. I first wore it on my right thumb but after a few years, switched it to my left forefinger.

I feel naked without it ...

I don't know where/how I lost it ....

I hope I dropped it at home ...

Sad.... sad.... sad :(

My BFF from Primary sch.

Oh the wonder of Facebook, its such a great tool and it led my friend Elena to me.

Elena and I were best friends in Primary sch ... that is so long ago :P We used to hang out alot, I would go over to her hse and we would even write each other letters! However, when we went to separate secondary schs, we grew apart. We did managed to meet up a few times but b4 we knew it, we had lost touch.

Before I knew it, more than a decade had passed. She was constantly on my mind and I had even tried searching for her on FB but was unable to locate her :(

A few weeks ago, SHE FOUND ME!!!

OMG, I was so excited!!! I guess it helped that I posted the ugly class photo of us when we were 12 years old and it was then that she confirmed she found the correct person.

We chatted a little via FB's chat and then exchanged phone numbers and set up a date to meet. With her irregular schedule and my "no official knock off time" work week, we decided to meet on a weekend when she was off.

It turns out she lives near me so we decided to meet around the area instead of heading down to town. It was really great to see her after so many years and she still looks great. U would never have guessed she is a mother of a 5 year old. Oh I envy those with high metabolism and/or the will to lose weight.

We went for dinner at New York, New York over at Heartland Mall where we caught each other up with our lives and our family. We stayed at the restaurant for more than 3hrs talking b4 making our way to "part 2" to continue our date.

We ended up at Punggol Park where there is this really nice restaurant by the pond. It looks like I have found another drinking buddy ;) Hahaha ... we down a few beers while reminiscing on the old days and also what we have done in the last 10 or more years. We looked thru some old pics that I brought along and tried to name our classmates but we didn't do that well.

Our evening started at 6.30pm and it ended at around 2am. I hope our next meet up won't be in another decade.

19 years later ....

Happy Good Friday .... or was it?

Met up with a bunch of friends on Fri @ Haagen Dazs at 3pm. There were things to be said between some but I know that one wished more could be said and that things would have turned out differently. However, it was just not meant to me .... Its going to take some time to heal .... I'll be here if u need me.

After Haagen Dazs, I had to rush down to Mt Vernon to pay my respects to my grandparents together with my dad's side of the family. Its a Chinese festival called 清明节 which is basically when we go "Tomb Sweeping" We would bring food to the tomb and also burn paper money/clothes/bags/etc for our dearly departed.

This took about 2 hrs and when I was done, I headed to town to meet Huiyi and KL. I arrived at Suntec about 8pm.

We went to Gelare for some waffle with ice cream ;)

After which we went to HK Cafe where we sat and chit chat. We called it an early nite and Huiyi and I managed to catch the last train home.

Haha ... sorry its such a boring post ... could have had more to say but alot had to be censored :P
