Test ....

Ok, I have been trying to find a way to hide my posts on some personal matters but I do not want to make my whole blog private. I did a little googling and found this script ....

Is anyone able to crack it??

If this works, its looks like I finally found a way ;)

Mini Reunion!

It started out as a small gathering for the new moms to bring their babies out but it soon turned to be a pretty big gathering of classmates.

We had even gotten in touch with our form teacher (I googled, HY emailed and Ben called) and she was supposed to show up. Unfortunately she was sick and had TWO days MC!! Haha, we were all joking around saying how she "keng" MC cos she did not want to come at the last min.

Miss Lim! We want a copy of yr MC!!

Anyway, the gathering still went on as planned ... thanks to our ever reliable PR/Planner/Accountant HY ;) She was the one that chose the place, made reservations, text ppl and even set up an event page in FB!! What would we do without her??

It was a Hi Tea buffet @ Swissotel Merchant Court. There was a credit card promo which was 1 free for every 3 paying customers.

They had a pretty good selection of food. This is only some of what we ate. I was too busy talking to worry about food pics :P

The gals :)

The guys :)

TJ and I

Group pic! Minus Kelvin and Chye Huat. They were gone b4 we could stop them ... were we really that boring? O.o

All the parents left after the meal and it was once again 我们 for round 2!

We headed to the new mall, ION @ Orchard. It was really a big mall with lots of high end boutiques. We walked for a bit but soon, HY, Sha, Evon, Ben and KL had a show to catch. I had wanted to watch it too but bcos my sis had already watched it and I didn't want to leave her alone, I stayed with her instead.

I shopped a little with my sis while waiting for the rest to be done with their movie and then it was yet another meetup after that ;)

My sis had bought "wife biscuits" from HK by the request of Ben and HY so we went to a nearby McDonald's for a light snack and have our dessert.

By the time we got home it was pretty late. I had a great time though! If u asked me 10 years ago would I think I would be as close to these group of friends as I am now, I think my answer would prob have been no.

It was nice to meet up with classmates, we looked thru the yearbook and many of us have changed. I wonder when our next meetup will be .... who will show up? More? Less? Will we ever see our form teacher again??

Hmmm .....

Peking Duck!

When Ben came back from Beijing, he brought a vacuum packed Peking Duck back for us. We had wanted to eat it over the National Day weekend but because I was in Thailand, we postponed it to this Sun instead. The duck can supposedly be kept for 3 mths?

Beware of the lady holding the cleaver! Haha ... the duck was too long for Shanice's oven so we had to chop it in half.

What is "naked" Snowball looking at??? Haha, he's not as cute without his fur!

The roasting duck of cos! A perfect fit in the oven. We wanted to cover the tray with aluminum foil but we could not find any. Unfortunately we were not at my hse where we have rolls and rolls and rolls :P

Shanice's mom cooked curry and fried some beehoon for us and we also opened a can of topshell :)

The duck of cos did not taste like the Peking Duck you would find at the restaurant but we all still ate quite a bit of it and enjoyed ourselves.

A great Sunday spent with friends :)

Thanks to Ben for the duck and Shanice for having us over!

Day 3 - Koh Samet -> Rayong -> BKK -> SGP

Woke up early they next day for breakfast. We had to catch the taxi at 9.30am to get back to Rayong.

Goodbye to Koh Samet.

Speedboat to Rayong!

Once we reached Rayong, we immediately left to go back to BKK. It was another long ride back ..... by the time we reached BKK it was 2+pm. With the breakfast, taxi, boat and car ride one after another, I had a slight headache all the way back to BKK. I'm just glad I didn't puke :P

Our flight wasn't until the evening, therefore we asked our driver to dropped us at the shopping mall, MBK.

We were only given 2 1/2hrs there to shop. Where was that enough?!??!

D and I had lunch first, for the first time during the trip, she found vegetarian food!

After eating, we shopped around ... I got some T-shirts and belts. Had to buy something back! Before the allocated time was up, the guys were already calling us :P

We hurried to the van and was whisked off to the airport. We reached there at about 5+pm, checked in our luggage and then did a little duty free shopping b4 catching our flight back to SGP.

We touched down closed to 11pm and by the time we got our luggage, got into a cab and made it home, it was close to midnight. We all had to work the next morning!!! ARGH!

What a tiring trip .....

Day 2 - Rayong -> Koh Samet

Woke up at 8am the next morning as we said the nite b4 that we would have breakfast @ 8.30am. However, the others had woken up early, knocked my door but when I told them I wasn't ready, they gone down first. By the time I went down @ 8.30am, they were almost done with breakfast.

This is the pool @ the Rayong resort.

Rayong's beach.

D and I.

We left the resort at about 9.30am for a short ride to the jetty but it was another 1hr b4 the boat left.

Because of the choppy weather, we were dropped farther away from our resort than would have. Luckily the speedboat ride was only about 15mins.

The 10mins taxi ride became 30mins and it was very bumpy!

We finally arrived at our resort at about 12+pm!

The tiny pool at our resort.

Because our rooms were not ready yet, we decided to have lunch first while waiting.

I nibbled on food but did not eat much.

Beer was more impt! :D

We eached had our own rooms again. This resort is a cabin styled resort.

We went to the pool and laid out but there wasn't any sun and thus I did not get the tan I wanted too. Plus, the weather was pretty gloomy and waves were pretty rough so not many ppl were at the beach.

We went for yet another massage .... this time by the beach but we were interrupted by rain. Luckily it wasn't that heavy and we were able to continue after a slight rearranging of umbrellas but it was still a bummer.

After a quick shower, we headed into the village for dinner at about 6+pm. The village was pretty dead as we were there in the off peak season.

We ended up at this western restaurant run by this Caucasian and his wife? The food was pretty good.

Of cos I had to have my beer! It was served ICED COLD here and I easily downed 5 bottles!

We headed back to our resort at about 10+pm and it was off to bed for me .... we had to leave early the next morning :(

Day 1 - SGP -> BKK -> Rayong -> Pattaya -> Rayong

Did not sleep much the nite b4 as I was busy packing. Our flight was at 0740hrs so we had to be at the airport at about 6am. My dad gave me a ride to the airport which saved me a cab ride :)

It was 2 1/2hrs plane ride and we reached BKK @ about 9+ BBK time and we immediately left for Rayong which was 2 1/2hrs away. We got lost along the way and our driver had to ask for directions... sigh.

We finally reached our resort (Novotel) at about 12+ in the afternoon. It was a pretty nice resort.

We each had our own rooms.

After a quick dumping of our bags, we headed down to the spa within the resort. The resort is pretty isolated, so there wasn't ANYTHING to do but stay within the resort.

D and I while waiting for our massages.

There could only be a max of 3 ppl massaging at the same time, therefore we girls did our first and then the guys later on. The guys went for lunch while we were having our massages.

After our massages, we headed to the pool for a quick dip and I tried to catch a few rays but the weather was pretty crappy. Did not have much time to relax b4 J approached me and told me that we were leaving in 15mins (@4pm) to go for a nite trip to Pattaya.

I quickly rushed to my room, changed my clothes and then we were off to Pattaya ... it was about an 1 1/2 car ride.

We went to see a Thai Girl show ... which is basically transvestites singing and dancing on stage. Some of the "girls" are actually quite pretty and really make u look twice.

I have to say that I was pretty impressed with the costumes and set which were pretty fancy. All the singing was prerecorded :P

After the show, it was close to 8pm and our driver dropped us off at an area where we could find food and do a little shopping as there was a temp nite bazaar nearby.

We had a pretty good dinner .. way too much food!

Luckily I had some beer to wash it all down ;)

After dinner, we still had plenty of time so we all went for foot massages! The 2 guys refused to look at the camera!

After we were done with the massages, it left us with a little time to walk the nite bazaar but most of the stores were about to close.

Our driver came back to pick us up at 11pm and then it was another 1 1/2hrs ride back to Rayong. I did not go to bed till about 1+am ....

Post Secret

Visiting the PostSecret website is one thing I do every Sunday .... once in awhile I find someone that shares my secret and then I don't feel that bad.

Feels so alone even with friends beside me ....
