A Christmas Carol

Went out with KL, Huiyi, Evon and my sis to watch A Christmas Carol staring Jim Carrey in 3D. We first met up for dinner @ The Cathay.

Just grabbed a bite at a Taiwanese eatery place. We didn't want to be late for the movie as Evon said movies started on time there.

The movie was not bad .. I actually did not realized it was supposed to be an animated film :P However, I feel that this version of the Christmas Carol wouldn't really be suitable for kids ... there were scenes that were a little scary and it dragged a tiny bit in some areas. Jim Carrey did a great job doing the voices for the many characters.

After the movie was over, we headed to PS's Cafe Cartel where they had the 50% off all coffee drinks and appetizers. Haha, the 1/2 off really draws alot of ppl there.

Our drinks ...

Chicken wings and a seafood platter.

Another nice nite out with friends :)

Beer + Great Company :)

Had a friend what was in town for the weekend who called me up on the Fri (at 7+pm) itself to ask if we wanted to meet up. Haha, a girl could use a little more notice but there was no way we would say no. God know when might be the next time he comes here.

We had talked about Brewerkz b4 and so we decided to head there. Funny coincidence was that when we reached Central, who did we see?

My Bro!!

What a small world .... but the sad/funny thing was that he was just at Brewerkz with his friends and was on the way home, whereas we were just starting our night. Guess that is life of a guy that has a wife waiting for him at home.

My sis didn't touch much of the beer so Kit and I finished that 4 liters of beer .. haha. The fries were super good too... Garlic Fries (not recommended if u plan to do any kissing afterwards)

Sigh .. blur pic :( I thought I checked it but I guess after downing about 2 LITERS of beer, my vision was slightly off :P but then, how the hell can someone take a blur pic with my spanking new digital cam? Oh wait, I know another person that has the same prob.

It was a great night, hope we get to meet again and this time take a clear pic. Hahaha.

KittyLab @ Singapore Expo

As u all might know, I'm a huge Little Twin Stars fan and even have a blog dedicated to them. Well, when I found out that KittyLab was coming to Singapore, I was slightly intrigued. I had planned on going if my friend from Malaysia would have come down. She is a HUGE kitty fan.

However, she decided not to and none of my HKO pals were going either. The tics just seemed to expensive :( With no one going, I didn't want to spend SGD35 per tic going either. But what if I could go for free? Hmm .... it never hurts to ask ;)

And so I msged my lobang (my connection) and asked if it was possible to get complimentary tics. Haha ... it was one of the "U want what? To where?" moments. I told him just try and it was no biggie if he couldn't get them.

It turns out that my lobang does know the right ppl and the next day I was told that he managed to get 2 tics to it. Let's just say he took a lot of crap for wanting HELLO KITTY tics and had to explain that they were not for him ... LOL

The tics were open tics and so we could go anytime. Since my sis didn't have class today, we decided to head down today. My mom even offered to drop us direct at the Expo which was great bcos if not, we would have to take the train and made a transfer.

We got there at about 12+pm and it was not crowded at all!

The only pic we could take of the exhibition. This was outside ... no photography allowed inside and there were too many staff walking around inside to sneak a shot :(

The map of the exhibition .. it looks alot bigger on the map :P

Well, basically everyone was given a Kitty DNA thingy that u carry to one station. After playing a game that lasted for about 10 secs, it would reward u with something of HK, eg clothes, bow, height, etc. After completion of it station, it would also direct u to the next station.

There was a total of 10 stations ... now is the part that prob got a lot of ppl pissed ... if u finished it in 35mins or less, u would get a badge. They were making ppl rush through the thing in order to get the badge!

Luckily it was not busy at all and we finished our stations with time to spare. There wasn't much to see and because no photo taking was allowed, there wasn't much else to do. And u know what's the saddest part about the whole thing?

THERE WAS NO LITTLE TWIN STARS ANYWHERE!!!

This was the card that we got at the end. The games we played and what we chose created HK's look.

We were given landyards that we could keep. Below was stuff that we got from the HKO booth that was outside KittyLab.

The badge that we got for finishing it within 35mins.

There was a souvenir shop but 99% was HK and no LTS ... sigh. Not going to waste my money on HK stuff. My sis wanted to get something as a souvenir but I told her "NO!" Hahaha .. she is not a HK fan and it would be a waste of money.

I'm glad I did not have to pay for the tics and that made KittyLab so much more fun! Haha ... Prob would only recommend it to true Kitty fans that want to buy stuff from the souvenir shop.

We prob spent about an hr there and then headed to town .... hehe, we were given a ride by a friend that was at the HKO booth!

My sis and I had lunch @ Sushi Tei.

After doing a little shopping, we headed home ....

Thanks to my lobang! LOVIES :)
