All others are Afternoon shifts that start from 12.30pm - 9.30pm on weekdays and 1pm - 10pm on Fri and Sat. Morning shifts end at 6.30pm.

Was planning to go on the HSBC walk last sat with my group of friends. We had planned it since the begining of the month. However, early Sat morn, Hui SMSed me and told me that it was raining! Damn! I looked out the window and the ground was wet. Major dissapointment!

So I went back to bed :) Of cos after messaging everyone to let them know that the event was cancelled. Was in a deep sleep and who else would to wake me up? KL! ARGH! And after that I could not fall back to sleep and had to wake up. Yes, it was already 11am, but u guys got to remember that I work shifts! I have the license to sleep in on my off day till whatever time I choose.

Anyways, cos the walk got cancelled, we decided to meet up for dinner that nite. Only KL, Huiyi and Yvonne were able to make it for the dinner. We went back to that Korean place at Meridian Food Court. This time around I had the Spicy Chicken Soup (what my sis had the last time) It was really yummy and I felt so full after that cos I finished the whole bowl on my own!

We then headed down to Bakerzin down in Paragon where we had dessert!

---

Chocolate cake with a warm gooey chocolate syrup center ....

---
My cup of latte .... love coffee art, wonder why more places don't practice it.

After dessert we headed down to Cineleisure to yet another place for drinks as Bakerzin was closing. We went to this place called Xin Wang which is opened for 24hrs on the weekends. Stay there for a few hrs in which WD joined us after he got done with work.

By the time i got home it was close to 2am ... tired, went to bed almost immediately.

Happy Birthday Elsie!

My friend Elsie (aka LC) turns 30 today, but a bunch of us brought her out to dinner last fri to celebrate. I met up with LC earlier on fri as we wanted to catch up a little. We went to this really neat confectionary place shop at Paragon shopping center where we had some dessert b4 dinner :)

---

Here's the 2 desserts that we ordered ... they were both yummy. We plan to go back there soon to try the rest of their assortment :)

---

LC and Me.

---

We ended up at Indochine at Boat Quay. The food was ok, portions were pathetic and the price high. Ambience was not too bad and because we were placed in the corner at the other half of the restaurant, we weren't disturbed much and were able to carry on with our converstations.

---

The 4 beautiful gals ... Me, Shanice, LC and Huiyi.

---

Those who made it that day ... Ben, KL, Me, LC, Huiyi, Shanice and YQ.

YES! 1st Weight Loss Goal Accomplished!

It took a LONG 4 months, 2 weeks, 3 days to finally lose my 10kg ... and 400gms :). Here are some b4 and after pics ...

---

Pic was taken Jan 7, 2007. I called them my Skinny Skinny jeans .... my new year's resolution was to fit into them. Yes, I used to be able to wear them 4-5 years ago b4 I gained.

---
After ... taken just this morning :) I can button it up! And there isn't anymore love handles ... well .... less.

My next goal is to be below 55kg ..... So I have reset my ticker. I have another pair of jeans to motivate me. It is actually my sis's which are too loose for her ... damn her. Anyway, I took it from her and my goal is to fit into them. They are a size smaller than this pair. Hopefully I will fit into them soon and then be able to post pics again :)

Thanks for all the encouragement and complements from my friends :)

The Kissing Game

Met up with KL for dinner tonite and after that we headed to Starbucks for one of our long talks. We started talking about kissing and that was when the question popped up.

"When in the relationship should u expect your first kiss?"

In the 6 years I was in the US, I have adapted to the culture there somewhat. If a guy likes me and takes me out on a first date, I would expect him to kiss me. Hopefully somewhere on the mouth, cheek is fine. A chaste peck or serious french kissing ... well, that depends on the situation ;) But I have never been one to shy away from a first kiss too soon if I like the guy.

We then started talking about the dating game here and how it is all different. My bro once told me that, in the US, u get to know someone by dating them. However, in Singapore, u know someone b4 u start dating them.

So I got curious and decided to ask my friend LC when did her hubby first kissed her. She said that she did not remember but it was within 2 weeks. However, we can't ignore the fact that they were friends for a long time b4 they started dating. So I guess her example does not help. But she made a point, she said "Over here, ppl are together b4 they kiss" Which is basically what my bro said...

Is that true? How am I supposed to adapt my way of thinking to the guys over here, when and if a guy comes along?

Haha, then we started talking about bad kissing ...

"Would u dump someone that does not know how to kiss?"

I have never kissed an Asian b4, that peck on the cheek by that Korean does not count. After it happened, I was like "Oh, do u like me? Sorry, u have taken too long to express your feelings" ... talk about SLOW!!

I have heard that Asians are bad kissers ... forgot who I heard it from ... But I guess I am kinda stereotyping them b4 I have even experienced it.

But can u imagine a guy that slobbers all over u or someone that kissed like he wants to eats u up and looks like those fishes that keep opening and closing their mouth?

EEEWWWW GROSS!!!

Can u teach a guy to be a better kisser or is it inbred? U either got it or u don't .... I think a bad kisser would turn me off, so far the guys I have kissed were not too bad, but there was one that had absolutely no sparks, which was kinda sad as he was a great guy. Maybe I might try to teach him a few things ... haha, I am talking like I am the expert :) .... but I believe that there are some things that can't be taught.

Korean Food

Met up with KL and my sis for dinner last nite. We went to the foodcourt ar Meridian where there is this well known Korean store that has gotten pretty good reviews. I went straight after work but had to wait for KL as he went home to change after his workout. By the time he arrived I was starving!

These were the dishes we ordered.

---

My Spicy Chicken Hot Plate.

---

KL's Spicy Seafood Soup

---

My sis's Spicy Chicken Soup

---
And KL was craving black carrot cake!

I ate so much and was so full. It was not too bad. Different from the Korean food that I ate when I was in Lansing. I miss the Korean restaurant there ....

Fake Coach Bag 2

I was going home a few days ago and when I was on the train, I saw 4 ladies carrying coach bags. 3 were sitting side by side and the other was standing in front of them. However 2 of them were FAKES!!! U can't see the other fake but can u spot the fake among the 3 sitting down?

I so want to tell her "Yeah, try to hide it under yr arm ..... that is an UGLY FAKE bag!!!"

I have an overactive imagination and sometimes it is torture. I would think up of different scenarios of things that might or might not even happen. I think too much. I imagine things that might or might not be there. I am a pessimistic person but yet I can also imagine things on the bright side, the "what ifs" start popping into my head. But at the same time, my mind would push that thought aways and I would tell myself that I am probably reading it all wrong. It will never turn out the way I want it to be.

I guess only time will tell ... sigh

My bookshelves!

Yeah, after a long awaited time, my bookshelves have finally arrived.

---

Aren't they pretty. Solid wood which my dad insisted on therefore he paid for them. I was willing to settle for cheap ones but it was against his principles :)

--- This was how I stored my books previously .....

---
TADA! The after pic. And the good news is that there is plenty of space for more books. YIPPEE! :)

Today my sis looked at me and said ...

"I think your boobs used to be bigger."

WAAAAHHHH!

However, on the bright side, I HAVE lost some weight, it had to come from somewhere ... but why there? WHY?!?!

I found my Jif!

Haha ... went down to Vivocity's Giant on Fri and look what I got!

---
My bottle of Jif! Got 2 bottles and I am happy :) They had tons there! I hope they continue bringing it in. There was a sticker on the cap with the name of the Singapore distributor .... so looks like there is hope. Maybe I would start seeing it pop up on grocery shelves across the island!

Choosy Serena chooses Jif!

Well, ever since I came back to Singapore, I have been searching high and low for Jif peanut butter .. I like the crunchy one. However I could not find it, everytime I stepped into a grocery store, I would go to the peanut butter section to check it out. They have the S'pore favourite Skippy and then Planters, PeterPan and some other unknown store brands but NEVER Jif. It is the best peanut butter ... right, Nikki? :)

Anyway, I had almost given up hope when today I was shopping at the newly opened Giant supermarket at Tampines and as I was walking past the store ads, guess what I saw?!?!

---My fave blue capped bottle! I almost jumped for joy! They have it and it was on sale! The usual price is S$6.30? Holy crap! In the US I paid less than US$3 a bottle. Well, it is an import, so I guess I can't complain. Look, it say it's "From USA"

Happily I went to the peanut butter section and searched high and low but I could not spot it! A tear formed ... haha, ok, I wasn't that dramatic .... but I was mighty upset. I hunted down someone who worked there and she told me they were out of stock but it would be in on Fri. :(

Looks like I will be making my way down to Giant on Fri ... or I can check out the other store at Vivocity. Can't wait to get my hands on a bottle! And u know what goes with peanut butter?

A SPOON! :)

After grocery shopping, we made our way to Bedok where we had Oyster Omelette. Yum! This is my, as my mom puts it, day of sin. I ate till I was so full but it was so good and the oysters were plentiful and pretty big.

--- My plate that I finished .... check out the oysters at the back!

Well .... back to my diet tomorrow!

Haha ... just found out that the scarf that they gave us to wear at work on Fri, Sat and Sun is ours to keep! Well, that is unless u do not quit a few weeks after it is given to u. What's more?!?! The scarf changes every 3-4 mths! I can't wait to see what the new scarf is going to be!

This is the current scarf, it costs US$48 .... not too sure how much we are selling it at the store ... who cares? I have one already :)

---

This was the other item that was given to the staff after the event launching our new Ergo collection.

I've heard that when the US ppl come down to train us every 6mths, they bring along gifts too! The last time everyone got an anniversary collection skinny mini! Wonder what they are going to give the next time they come ....

I LOVE free Coach stuff! :)
