Met up with Ben, Huiyi and KL for dinner on Sat. We decided to go to the Village located at the basement of Hereen. It was not the full wo men as Shanice was on a trip to Batam and Yvonne had to work.

O came to meet up with us as KL and him were going to watch a movie after dinner. We talked about going to Taboo next Sat ... fun :) Ben really wanted to go that day but KL had just recovered and wasn't 100%

We made our way to Dempsy, PS Cafe. As usual, Ben drove, thanks :) It was really crowded there and everyone was parking on the side of the road. The place that we went to was filled with caucasians .... there was one really cute one that I kept eyeing. We sat and enjoyed our drinks while waiting for Yvonne to show up. It was past 10pm and she was still busy at work.

Yvonne finally made it there at 11 plus. She came along with WT. However, we did not stay for very long after they came as we called up GX and asked whether he wanted to meet up. LC was already in bed but I guess my laughter woke her up when I was on the phone with GX .... haha, guess I am REALLY loud. We were just goofing around as we told GX that if LC was asleep not to wake her up :)

So we made our way to our 老地方 ... AMK McDonald's. It's open 24 hrs and has FREE parking! Free parking is quite rare in S'pore. So we chatted to the wee hrs of the morning .... we have not met up with GX for the longest time. Think the last time was actually last year!

We finally left the place at 3+ in the morning. Everyone was a little stoned ... haha. Will be meeting with with Ben, Huiyi and KL again today .. Ben and I are going for massages and then we will meet them for dinner.

Met up with Ben on Fri. We decided to go to Serangoon Gardens for dinner ... there was a slight miscommunication as he did not say anything about picking me up and I was also a little embarrassed to ask him about it ...

I messaged him and asked "What time are we meeting?" His reply was "8.30pm" Well, guess to me that means we are going to meet at S Gardens at 8.30pm ... fine by me, it isn't that far from my place, just that I would have to take a bus and I hate buses, u never know how long u have to wait for one.

I left the hse at 8pm, 10mins or so walk to the bus stop .... waiting, waiting, waiting. Damn, it was 8.30pm and my bus was still no where in sight! Then my phone rang. It was Ben ...

"Where are u?" he asked

"Waiting for bus at the bus stop?" I replied

"Huh? I am in front of yr hse!"

OOPS ...

I told him which bus stop I was at and he said he will be over. And wouldn't u know, after I hung up the phone, my bus came.

We went to Chomp Chomp to eat and after that went to a pub to have some beer ... fun :)

A Very unexpected surprise ...

As u guys prob know, I was hiding away from the rest of the world last week. Did not feel like talking to anyone. Anyway, my friends surprised me on Mon by sending me this bouquet of flowers!

---

It was delivered to my hse and I was very surprised and touched. It brought a smile to my face ... something that hadn't happened in awhile.

---

This was the note attached. The "Wo Men Club" is "我们 Club" .... 我们 means "us". I'm really lucky to have friends like them.

THANKS!

P.S. My sis saw the flowers and is very jealous. She wants to join our club too and asks what is the membership requirements ... haha :)

Dear Friends,
I'm alive, still in Singapore. I can't say that I am fine 'cos I'm not. I just feel down and don't feel like talking to anyone. Please just give me some time and space. I appreciate all the phone calls and messages but I am just not in the mood to talk to anyone right now. It's not any of your fault so don't speculate. It's just me .... just be patient ... thanks.

The Internet ROCKS!

Why? Well, there was a little accident in the bathroom which caused the sink to be clogged. And wouldn't u know, my hse of EVERYTHING doesn't have a damn plunger! Maybe my dad kept it somewhere OTHER than the toilets, but my sis and I could not seem to find one.

We tried the hand plunging, used a bottle to blow air, a water spray .... none worked. I was getting frustrated, the floor was wet but I still did not want to give up. The thought of emailing my dad and asking him where he kept his precious plungers did cross my mind.

Well, I went to my trusty internet and did a search for "clogged sink" hoping to find a tip, or some homemade Drano Max. I was reading thru the first website I clicked and it suggested that "If it's a bath sink, stuff the rag into the overflow hole. In both cases, the rag helps deliver the pressure directly to the clog."

Hmm ... sounds logical, wonder why I did not think of it? Do all of u out there know about this step?

Anyway, went downstairs to get a rag, stuffed it into the hole and tried my water spray again. Sure enough, in less than 3 secs, I heard water flowing down the drain!

HALLELUJAH!!

I can brush my teeth in the morning in my bathroom! :)

BTW, the website is from a show This Old House which I used to love watching in the US. It's a show on renovations tips, home DIY and stuff. Miss that show ....

Met up with my ex boss and colleague, have not seen them in forever! We have been trying to meet up but have met with little bumps along the way, but after about 3 tries, we managed to do so on fri.

We met at Serangoon Gardens so I took a direct bus from my hse to there. However, the bus took forever and the stupid bus driver kept jerking the bus. By the time I reached my stop, I had a pounding headache!

Mike was already there when I reached ... still looked the same. We chatted while waiting for Rowe as she was running a little late. We made our way to Country Manna for dinner and OMG, there was lots to catch up. Mike brought pics from his wedding ... his wife is really pretty! There were professionally taken ones that Rowe and I had a great time looking at ... some were really sexy .. haha, something u would expect out of a romance novel cover :)

It was nice to find out where most of my ex-colleagues are at now. Everyone seems to be doing something .. what about me ... sigh (btw, that was another of my ex boss's fave phrase - SIGH)

Nothing much going on .... went for a free massage courtesy of LC and GX. Well, they signed up fo a spa package and in order to get more ppl to join, they were given a free massage to a friend .. haha, lucky me. Well, I knew what I was getting into when I set up an appointment, but I knew I wasn't going to sign up for anything ... I was just going to tell them I did not have have job ... and that's the truth!

Anyway, went to the place which was located at Ngee Ann City. Was about 10 mins late ... but who cares? The place was huge and quite classy ... really something to consider if I had $ to throw ... haha. After filling up some paperwork, I was led into a room. Was told to take off my top and bra and lay down. I was given this ugly paper cap to cover my hair .... absolutely hate it! So ugly! Lay down and the massage began .... it was so good and hard, the way I like it ... in more ways than 1 ;) However, it was annoying that the masseuse spoke mandarin. Yes, I know, stupid thing to complain about, but it was annoying to me.

She did a good job, my muscles were all loosen afterwards. I was led back on where they tried to get me to sign for my own package.

No,

No,

No ....

Haha, was very persistant .... and then said thanks and left :)

The Adventures of 小笼女!

Yup! I think LC was the one that gave me the name ... think its kinda cute so I'm keeping it! My sis and I were supposed to try out something new but after hearing not so great reviews about it, we decided that 小笼包 was the way to go. However, instead of going back to Crystal Jade (CJ), we tried Imperial Treasure (IT) that some said was nicer than CJ. Well, alot of ppl do say that IT is a copy of CJ.

Anyway, my day started off with a visit to the blood bank for my blood donation. Am already about 3 weeks late for my donation. I'm trying to donate consistently every 12 weeks.

---

My bandage from the blood donation. Thought the dinosaurs were cute .. think Nate would have love it :)

Went down to Orchard to meet my sis, after which we headed to Far East to do a little shopping. Stopped by Isetan, Scotts to visit my ex colleagues and then headed to Ngee Ann for a late lunch, early dinner.

There are 2 ITs at Ngee Ann, u have to go to the 5th floor one for 小笼包. The full name of the place is IT Nan Bei Restaurant.

---

The menu .... the inside is very similar to CJ.

---

Our 小笼包! They look very much like the ones at CJ. I thought that maybe the skins were slightly thinner and they were more soupy! Not bad at all!

---

Chicken Feet ... this was yummy, cooked till very tender, no trouble eating them at all.

---

Sweet and Sour Chicken ... but we thought it tasted like pork. Think they might have screwed up our order. Nothing fantastic ....

---

Fried Eel. I think this dish is definitely better than CJ, which was way too sweet and portion was measly.

---

Siew Mai ... not too bad, but have tasted better.

---

Fried Pork Chops ... CJ's are definitely better too. They use a different batter there.

---

My trusty sidekick 小笼妹!

---

Me, ME!!

We ate a total of 3 笼s of 小笼包s EACH! That's 12 小笼包s for mathematically challenged. When we ordered our 2nd 笼, the guy next to our table looked at us weird. Well, this was after we polished off most of the food shown above.

We then wanted a 3rd 笼 but we were (ok, I, more than my sis) embarrassed. Thank god the couple stood up and left. After the coast was cleared, we told the waitress to add 2 more 笼s ... then she said in Cantonese "Wah, 3 笼s each, so nice to eat ah?" To which we replied in Cantonese, "Yup, 好吃!" (Good Eats)

Not too sure if I liked all the attention we seemed to be getting. No one ever said anything or looked at us weird at CJ.

---

And 'cos we spent over $60 and I used my UOB card to pay, we were offered FREE dessert! It was Red Bean with Lotus Seed. Yum ... tasted even better since it was FOC!

Hmm ... I think if it was just for 小笼包, I would prob go to IT, but there are some dishes that CJ do a better job at, plus I love their chili there. Hmm, think I have to go back to CJ soon and see if I remember their 小笼包 correctly :)

Well, I want to try another place that supposedly serves even better 小笼包s. Guess the adventures of 小笼女 are going to continue for awhile .... keep a lookout!

Any suggestions/recommendations?
