Frustrating Mom!

It's so frustrating when it comes to my mom, she can be so fucking calculative when it comes to $. My phone is under my dad's name as he is able to get a discount for the plan, saving me about $10 a mth. Anyway, since it also includes my sis's phone, he has it auto paid every mth thru his bank account and I then pay my mom back every mth. (My mom handles all the money at home, my dad is the generous one ... well, most of the time)

Well, today was the day that I finally transfer the money back to my mom, making her double check her account as I was doing it. After which, I gave her a Post-It stating the breakdown of the money for this mth. It was then she said,

"Your phone bill amt is before GST..." (GST is our Goods and Service Tax)

I looked at her and was a little dumbfounded .... first of all, I honestly did not realized that I have been paying her without the GST, second of all, my phone bill this mth (and on the average) is $36, 7% GST is fucking $2.52!!!

She is bugging me about

$2.52?!?!?!

This was the same person that did not realize that $3140 was not in her account!!

THREE THOUSAND DOLLARS!!!!

ARGH!!!

I looked at her and said a little innocently

"What? You mean u are not going to absorb GST?" and just continued walking ....

So fucking annoyed ... and now that I think about it, I ALWAYS round up to the nearest $5 when I transfer $ to my mom, I think that should cover it.

But rest assured, next mth I will calculate the FUCKING GST into my bill.

小笼包 ... Round 2

After cancelling on me on Mon because of family obligations, I finally met up with LC on thur for 小笼包!! She has always brought me to Ding Tai Fung so this time around I brought her to Crystal Jade where I think it is better. For one thing, they are bigger! :)

We also ordered the Fried Pork with Garlic. Better than the Crispy Pork Rib that I had with my sis, but then I LOVE garlic! No one to kiss, so who cares about garlic breath!

On the left is Fried Eel, not too bad, the sauce that it was coated with was a little to sweet though. On the right is some Scallop Egg thingy, forgot what's the name. The taste wasn't too overpowering so it actually went well with the eel.

This time around I only had 10 小笼包, unlike the other time with my sis when I had 13. I guess cos I also ate alot of the other stuff, there wasn't my sis to eat more of it. Will definately be making my way back there for ROUND 3! Who wants to go? :)

After lunch, we went shopping a little, looks like I am going to be updating my wish list pretty soon .. haha. LC had to leave early as she had tuition. I continued walking ard town b4 heading back home. Went to a second hand bkshop across my hse in search of a book which I have the starting and ending but I was SOL (Shit Outta Luck) again. Damn!!

Msged my sis and surprisingly she was just one level down in the mall. So I met up with her and we went for dessert with her friend Gwen. We went to the Hong Kong Cafe by the mall.

Mango Ice with a scoop of ice cream on the top. It was alot for the 2 of us as Gwen didn't want any. After finishing it, we were shivering! Good times .....

Met up with KL earlier on Mon for dinner and because it was still early, we made our way to Max Brenner for some chocolate sustanance :)

This was my first time there. Their menu was filled with everything chocolate .. they even had some alcoholic chocolate drinks.

I love their glasses and their metal straws. I forgot the name of my drink but it was really good, a bit too sweet for my taste though.

We then hurried our way to the Esplanade concert hall, and even though we made it on the dot, the doors were already closed. There were another 3 couples in front of us who were arguing with the ushers saying that they were on time and that the doors were closed too early. One guy even asked them to refund him his money if he was going to miss part of the concert.

The thing was that we were on the dot, that means the ppl in front of us were early. We just stood there as the older couples in front argued with the ushers. Finally, after a very serious talk on their headphones, the doors were opened and we were let in.

The show started without Gabriel, so basically we would not have really missed out if they insist on not letting us in. The show was really great, enjoyed it tremendously! Gabriel was so cute and talented. Our seats were just 4 rows from the stage and directly in front of him at all times. That's why I love buying tics as soon as they are released and not drag out.

After the show, there was an autograph session. I decided to stay and get my program signed. KL was tired and had a long journey home so he left first.

Adorable Gabriel ....

Was supposed to go to lunch with LC today but her mom has food poisoning so she she has to stay home to take care of her. We have rescheduled our 小笼包 date to Thurs.

Will be going to a concert later tonite with KL. Don't get too excited, it's a classical concert. It's by this child violinist protege, Gabriel Ng. He is 12 years old and has already received many accolades for his playing. Best of all, he is a Singaporean! There was a documnetary on him a couple of mths back and when I heard that he was coming back to S'pore to play, I immediately asked KL if he wanted to go .... he is the only person I know who would be interested in such artsy things ... am I right?

It's going to be a 1 1/2 hr show and it will be the first time I'm going to the esplanade theater. Damn, and I have to be back early cos I have a bloody meeting the next morning at 8.30am!! Its going to be a 13hr day for me .... GROAN, what is she going to bitch about again this time? What a mood spoiler!

More COACH Goodies ....

We have product training every 6 mths at Coach and we are given gifts everytime. This was my first time going thru it and this was what we all got. Previously they had different things for the guys and gals but this time they gave everyone they same thing. The previous gift was the mini skinny that I got too 'cos there were extras :)
