Coward ... stupid .... chicken ... childish .... weak ...

I did something stupid today ..... I went to the grocery store today and just as I turn into the parking lot, I saw my ex's vehicle ..... and what was the first thing I did? Drove away! If I had gone any faster, I would have left tire tracks. I just did not want to risk bumping into him in the store. I did not want to see him while working at Owen and I sure do not want to see him anywhere else. However, after I drove away, I started beating myself up for being such a spineless COWARD!

I have not said a single word to him since I found out what he did and I do not see the need to. He has tried to make small talk after a few mths of avoidance but I just totally ignored him. Don't try to be friendly to me just because. I hate him and the things he did .... he is an asshole and a jerk! I see no point in being civil with such ppl. I just hate the fact that I had to change my plans because of him ... I ended up going to another store.

After thinking about it, I decided that if I were to be thrown into that same situation again, I would probably have done the exact same thing even though I know that it's not the mature thing to do ...... sigh, that's just me ...... I wonder what a psych doc have to say about this behavior .....

I feel fat today ... or bloated, I don't know. Went to the grocery store and wanted to buy a whole lot of junk food .... that's me sometimes, when I feel fat, all I want to do is stuff myself as think, I'm already fat, it doesn't matter. I was practically drooling walking down the aisles ..... cookies, muffins, pints of ice cream .... gallons of ice cream, chocolate, candy, chips, nuts ......

Fortunately I was able to be strong and walk out the store without any of the junk food. It was torture I tell u! Why don't I just get something and eat a little of it? Ain't going to happen .... I'll just end up eating all of it. It's so hard ..... it brings back bad memories when I was younger and everyone, EVERYONE had something to say about my weight. I hate being fat :(

Went all the way to the west end of Michigan for a catering yesterday. It was this place call Camp Boldgett and it was by Lake Michigan. The hall is a bit small but the view is gorgeous. The hall can only sit about 150 ppl. Even though the hall is a little far away, we like it because it has an elevator, a full kitchen, a walk-in cooler, an ice machine and the best thing .... a DISH MACHINE!!! :)

By the time we got back to Perry, it was 12.15am and by the time I got home, it was close to 1am. You could bet that I hit the sack immediately .....

Dixie Chicks Concert

Just got home from the Dixie Chicks concert and it was GREAT!!! I went with Liz and her bro Daniel. We first went to Greektown where we ate at a restaurant called Pagasus. We ordered way too much food but my fave was the cheese that they fire up right at your table and yell "OPA!!!"

We took the People Mover to the arena. It is a subway system that serves the downtown Detroit area ..... it was a flat rate of $0.50 each way. That's Liz's hand!

We got to Joe Louis Arena with plenty of time to spare .... the doors weren't even open when we arrived. That's Liz's hand again :)

This was how close we were to the stage. It was pretty great seats ... the last time I saw the Chicks, we had nose bleed seats!

The Chicks opening act was Anna Nalick and I was very excited about it ... I own her cd so I knew all the songs that she sang. It was like 2 concerts for the price of 1!! And it was not a cheap tic! All the stupid surcharges! I found out that she has rereleased her Wreck of the Day cd which consists of extra tracks .... damn it.

Here's Liz with a free beer that we got for a guy that was sitting next to us. He bought it for his friend but his friend did not want it. We were joking about how he could have put some date rape drug in it b4 giving it to us ..... but we turned out fine and we had FREE beer .... it would have cost us $8 for a 24oz beer. What a rip off!

I did not take any pics of the concert as I did not bring my camera into the arena. I was afraid that it would get confiscated. The ticket said no cameras or recording devices ... however, I was slapping myself when they did not even check my bag and when I saw many others clicking away during the concert. The pics u see were all taken by my crappy camera phone which took yucky pics in the dark.

The crowd was great, I yelled so much that my throat is sore .... thank god for the beer, it helped a bit :) The sang quite a few songs from their new album and alot of their old favorites.

One thing that was a little strange was that they did not have any of their new album (or their old albums) on sale at the concert ..... I wonder if sales from a concert is taken into account for record sales ..... maybe they want ppl to go to a store to get it. Or maybe it is the first concert of the season and they have not have everything planned out yet.

Managed to get my ass out of bed this morning at 6am ....... had to stop by to get some coffee as I was still basically half asleep :)

Had Bre only for most of the morning as Caylinn was in summer sch. We spent the morning watching cartoons .... Spongebob Squarepants, Dora the Explorer, etc ...... It was actually not too bad, learnt a little spanish from Dora! LOL! Every now and then, Bre would go outside and want to play on her swing ..... she can just sit there forever and have me push her, she is so adorable. She also dragged me over to the neighbors to get a bag of goodies ..... after she got what she wanted, she left! Thankfully I met the lady next door a couple of times b4 we intruded on her and her husband .....

and yes, I fed the girls real food :P

Will be babysitting Danielle's kids this week as their daycare provider is on vacation. Did a little no-no today ..... did not feed the kids proper food ...oops. Well, they told me what they wanted to eat and I let them .... maybe that's why they like me :P I guess I should more aware of what I feed them from now on.

There was a new additional to the family .... they got a brand new kitty. It is this really small ball of fluff which Bre loves to just carry around. Sometime I get worried that she might be a little too rough .... she already got a battle scar, the kitty scratched Bre on her face the night b4.

It was pretty hot on Mon so we spend most of the day indoors until Danielle came home. The girls then changed into their swimsuits and played in their blowup pool.

Came home and took a nap ... lol, guess I'm not used to waiting up at 8.30am. Same thing today and I'm going to have be up at 6.30am on Wed! Groan .....

However, something to look forward to ....... Dixie Chicks Concert in 3 days!!!

Tired, just got home from work. It was a hot and long day at work today. We have 2 more caterings tomorrow so I have to take a shower, go to bed and do the same thing all over again in less than 10hrs. The bad news is that it is going to be really really hot tomorrow, however, we will in be a location where we will be indoors with air conditioning! Yippee.

It was Jeff's first day back at catering today and you could tell that he got tired easily .... his back hurts and he had to take frequent breaks. Yuchien tired to get him to sit down and rest but it just seems that he wants to find something to do ..... He left after dinner so he could go home and rest as tomorrow is another long day ......

Some asked, so here it is :) I fell in love with it the moment I saw it .... prob 'cos it's red. I so wanted to get the matching wallet but I was broke ... I prob would not even have been able to afford this without help from my friends Jeff and Yuchien ;)

Pedicure Time!

Went to get a pedicure with Nikki today. We went to Nancy Nails over at the Lansing Mall. The place was bigger than the other nail place that I have gone to. The only similar thing was that the ppl working there were all asian. They were chatting among themselves while doing out nails and I so wish I could understand them ..... I can just imagine their conversations ...... "this girl's feet are so smelly!".... "u think hers' is bad? This one is worse!"

They convinced us to get french pedicures ... it was my first! They also suggested that we get some nail art painted. They are pretty good at selling but they do make more with the french pedicure and the additional design they painted on.

I thought mine turned out really pretty. Nikki got a really cute flower too but because my toe is larger, mine is slightly fancy :) Yes, I have been told that I have freakishly long toes ... "finger toes" as I recall someone saying.

After we got done with our pedicures, I went back to Nikki's and played with Nate for a bit. I have not seen him in a while and he has grown. He was running around the house butt naked! He then showed me his birthday present which is a huge swing set. He calls it his ship and would not let me climb on it :( He is really becoming very talkative.

You know how kids say the darndest things? Well, he was playing around with Bryan and hit his crotch. Bryan told him that it hurts and to stop, Nikki then told Nate that he should kiss Daddy and say he was sorry ..... without missing a beat, Nate said

"I don't want to kiss Daddy's peepee."

LOL!!!!!!

Stopped by Owen this morning to pick up some stuff that I had hitchhiked in Nikki's luggage. Was nice to see the ppl that I used to work with but did not miss the work :)

Was hoping to pick up the letter of reccomendation that Mike G wrote for me but he is on vacation and I could not find it anywhere in his office. Felt a little awkward searching through his office as that is where the safe is too ..... I don't think they have changed the combination yet and I do not want to be a suspect if anything happened. While leaving, I stopped but Wendy's and she printed me a copy of the letter and I have to say that I was a little touched with what he wrote ... haha, I'll prob find out later that he uses a template for everyone.

Went to the library and while driving home, this was what I saw ....

A well dressed guy ..... nice pants, long sleeve shirt, tie .... was standing at a junction corner holding up a sign. The sign read "We're Open - Verizon" However, the word Verizon was so small that if u are just driving by, u prob would not have caught it. It is just so sad that they make u dress up for work only to have u stand in the hot sun holding up a damn sign! I have seen guys from pizza places holding signs but never one so well dressed .... I felt slightly bad for him. I wonder how many ppl actually went to the store (which I still have no idea where it is) b'cos of the sign ..... "oh, look honey, a brand new verizon store, let's sign up for a phone right now!"

Got home, called a salon to set up an appointment for a haircut. It was a place where students cut your hair under the supervision of instructors. It was only $15 and they have a strict no tipping policy. Yes, I am cheap in certain aspects. They did a pretty good job .... sorry shanice, no bangs, could not bring myself to do it :) I now have hair just past the shoulder, I had about 8 inches cut off!

Stopped by B&N and bumped into Nikki and Bryan, chatted a little ... Nikki and I are planning a pedicure trip!

Went back home, got the mail out of the mail box ..... let me just say, this is when u know that u have spent too much at a store .....

I actually got a handwritten card from the saleslady at Coach! When I first saw the envelope, I was thinking ... I do not know anyone in Vegas, who is sending me a card? And guess what else came in the mail? I have earned enough points to exchange for a Coach gift card and it also came in the mail ....... it is a sign! :)

Called up Elyse to check on her, she is doing fine, her 'gina hurts. I went over to visit her so that I could drop the cds that I burned for her. We hung around for awhile, she burned me a cd, we watched Nanny McPhee. Elyse then proceded to feed her pet snake, here is a video clip of it ... the first part is slightly dark but it gets brighter.

Liz stopped by with Bre and Caylinn and later brought them to the park to play. Elyse, Elyse's mom, Amanda and I then headed to NCG to watch Lake House. It was a nice movie, like the story line but I was a little dissapointed that I did not cry! But still, I had a great time :)

Happy 4th of July

Have not been doing much lately ..... just hibernating :) My roomies are gone so I have the whole apartment to myself. Doing well on my diet after Vegas .... surprise surprise, I gain a few lbs in Vegas. I now know the secret to dieting ..... not to work with food ... EVER! One of my roomie will be back tonite and I have to pick him up at the airport. Hope the traffic will be ok, who knows with all the fireworks going on .....

Got a surprise this morning, my friend KL called from Australia .... I was still asleep and he woke me up. Talked to him for a bit .... really miss him.

Did some laundry, watched tv ..... that was pretty much my day ....... YAWN

Just got home from picking up my roomie and I managed to catch a few fireworks. However, on the way home, after I thought the fireworks were done for the day, one suddenly went off! It scare the shit out of me! I jumped and my first thought was that something blew up in my car, then I thought maybe the flash of light was a cop car ..... only after the next blast went off did I realize that it was just a stupid firework going off. ARGH!!
